I’m currently managing a Facebook Page for a brand, and growth has been slower than expected despite posting regularly. I’ve seen many Pages grow their follower counts quickly, which made me consider whether buying followers could help with visibility and credibility. At the same time, I’m concerned about potential risks.
What I want to understand is whether buying followers can actually get a Facebook Page restricted. By restriction, I mean things like reduced reach, limited ad capabilities, or other account-level limitations. Some people say Facebook immediately punishes Pages that buy followers, while others claim nothing serious happens.
I’m looking for a realistic explanation of how Facebook handles this situation. Does buying followers alone trigger restrictions, or does Facebook focus more on behavior, engagement patterns, and repeated violations? Knowing the real risks would help me decide how cautious I need to be.
